Equine Podiatry Service

equine podiatry team

The Equine Podiatry Service of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) unites the special skills, knowledge, and experience of veterinary and farrier specialists to provide specialized foot care for horses. In addition to seeing patients at the VTH on an appointment basis, our team also provides ambulatory service to farms within a 35-mile radius of Blacksburg. On referral, our team will travel regionally when a situation dictates. We work on all ages, breeds, and disciplines of horses. Our relationship with referring veterinarians and farriers is extremely important to us. Our goal is to always work as a team to achieve the best possible outcome.
