Dr. Balogh’s faculty bio
The primary research interest in the Balogh Lab is the regulation of normal uterine contractility during canine parturition, and the endocrine and molecular mechanisms underlying absent or insufficient labor contractions in dogs with uterine inertia. We also investigate canine male infertility and the effects of a slow-release GnRH agonist (deslorelin) on testis and epididymis function in dogs. Studies on other canine reproductive clinical conditions or diseases and on ultrasonography of the female and male reproductive tract are also of great interest.
