Richard Gargagliano, MSPH, FACHE

Richard Gargagliano, who earned his B.S. in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts and his M.S. in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has almost 35 years of hospital and health care management experience. He joined the Equine Medical Center in 1987 and served as its chief financial officer for many years. In 2009, he was named chief operating and financial officer, and with this expansion of duties, he has assumed direct responsibility for the implementation of strategies designed to ensure that the Center meets a series of revenue development and cost-containment goals.
The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) has recently re-certified Mr. Gargagliano as a Fellow (FACHE). This is the highest credential offered by the ACHE and those who earn it have demonstrated a commitment to the highest standards in the profession of healthcare management and have indicated a commitment to excellence in the field. It is considered a board certification in healthcare management.
