FAPC Spring 2012 Schedule

Welcome!

- General meetings are the second Tuesday of the month at 5:30PM in Room 102.

- Rounds are held on the other Tuesdays at 5:00PM in Room 102.

- Wetlabs are denoted WL

SPRING EVENTS:

-Jan 28 – VA Beef Cattle Health Conference – at the Vet school starting at 9 am, this is a great event where our clinicians teach producers about advancements in health protocols etc. There are also labs in the afternoon as well which will be great hands on experiences. Volunteer point opportunity.

-Jan 29 – Goat ultrasound wet lab at Dr. Sponenberg’s at 3 pm, limited attendance

-Jan 31 – deadline for the $10 registration for the VVMA Conference featuring Temple Grandin as a keynote speaker. Pfizer will be sponsoring a dinner for FAPC students at the conference.

-Feb 7 – first FAPC meeting at 5:30 pm in rm 102

-Feb 24-25 – VVMA Conference in Roanoke

-Feb 24 – Pfizer sponsored dinner for FAPC students and clinicians who are attending the VVMA Conference.

-Mar 23 Eat dinner with the club at Homeplace in Christiansburg. Dinner is not paid for but the company will be great!

-Mar 31 VMRCVM Open House-- Volunteer point opportunity

-April 7 Kids Tech University-- we run a station that teaches kids about food animal medicine. Volunteer point opportunity

-April 28 Pasture Walk to learn about pasture management and assesment in Hillsville Virginia, time to be announced, transportation will be provided.
