Laboratory for Study Design and Statistical Service

The Laboratory for Study Design and Statistical Service is dedicated to strengthening the planning, organization, and implementation of sound, efficient, and effective research projects for faculty, residents, and students of the College of Veterinary Medicine.

A. Technical Expertise

Laboratory Coordinator and Supervisor are available for questions related to design, planning, and implementation of research projects, data management and analysis, evaluation, and presentation of data and information.

  1. Study Design/Planning of Statistical Investigations
    • Experimental Studies
    • Clinical Trials
    • Observational Studies
    • Surveys
    Support in planning of data collection and data management.

  2. Statistical Analysis
    • Descriptive Statistics
    • Regression and Analysis of Variance, Event-time (Survival) Analysis
    • Epidemiologic Analysis
    SAS® software is the main software package used for data analysis. Software packages are continuously upgraded and acquired, adapting to needs.

  3. Data Presentation
    • Tabular and/or graphic formats for presentation and publication.
