Brief Bio

I was born in Louisville, KY, and moved back to my parents homeland, Thailand, when I was about 8 years old. After I finished high school at Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok, Thailand in 2004, I returned to America and received a Bachelor of Science degree at Virginia Tech. I then was part of a Post-Baccalaureate program (Virginia Tech's Post Baccalaureate Research and Education Program), conducting research as a VT-PREP scholar in Dr. Nathans lab. I then applied for a PhD in the Biomedical & Veterinary Sciences program, and that is how I got to where I am, pursuing my PhD.

Research Project Involvement

Drug Targeting of Mycobacterium Using Nanoparticles

Our lab is doing research on drug targeting of three different types of bacteria, Brucella, Salmonella and Mycobacterium, and I am working with another colleague on Mycobacterium.
