Biography

Dr. Ernst grew up in Long Island, N.Y., attended college in Rochester, N.Y., and received her DVM from Purdue University. She worked in small animal general and emergency practice for two and a half years before coming to the VMCVM to pursue specialization in veterinary clinical pathology, and a PhD in the biomedical sciences. Outside of clinical work and research, she loves spending time at home with her husband, daughter, and three cats, and enjoys swing dancing, singing, reading, and craft projects.

  • Antimicrobial properties of peptide nucleic acids
  • Evaluation of the antimycobacterial properties of novel organometallic compounds
