VMRCVM HomePlease complete the Media Center Work Request Form as thoroughly as possible when entering a job. Specific written instructions will help reduce errors and expedite production. To avoid mistakes and misunderstandings, it is advisable to explain each project directly to the artist or photographer. Projects submitted digitally, to the Media shared folder, must be followed up with a confirming telephone call or personal contact, to insure that your project has been received.
The Media Center will determine the most appropriate methods, materials, procedures, and personnel to efficiently complete projects. On completion of art work, the client should review and approve the work before the final form is rendered.
The client accepts full responsibility for obtaining the necessary copyright permission and will personally absolve the artist and/or photographer from any legal repercussions that may arise.
All art and photography projects need to be submitted two weeks (10 workings days) before your deadline for the project. Large projects, such as posters, require three weeks notification (15 working days) with all materials delivered to the artist no later than two weeks before the deadline. Major projects, such as publications and displays, require a one month notice with all materials delivered to the artist no later than three weeks before the deadline.
Each month the Media Center sends an invoice of charges for materials to the appropriate cost center manager. It is essential to have an account code along with a course name/number for us to bill departments correctly.
To avoid damage or loss of original art work, only copies will be released for review. After completion of a job, the original art work will be stored in the Media Center. Computer graphics will be stored on disc and/or hard drive.
