Photography

A full range of medical, biological and scientific photographic services are available. They include the production of color and black & white prints, computer slides, and digital images.

Field and Studio Photography / Digital Laser Printing

studio Contact the Media photographer to schedule a shooting date and to discuss equipment needs.

  • Digital images: Produced by high-end digital camera, scanners (slide and flatbed) to produce high end color and b&w prints and slides. Adobe PhotoShop is used to produce all digital images.
  • In-house custom printing (publication quality) is available for prints up to 13" x 19".
  • Scanning: Slide, flatbed (artwork, books & magazines) and radiographic imaging is available. It is important to determine resolution and image size needed for publication, PowerPoint and printing.

Photographs for Publication

If you have material for publications, thesis, and dissertations, please make an appointment with the Media photographer.

Scanning

There are scanning instructions for the scanners (slide and flatbed) in the Faculty Development Lab. Media personnel are available for personal instruction by appointment.

Film Purchases and Development

  • A limited amount of Ektachrome slide films are available for purchase and development for microscope, scientific, and general photography. Turn around time for Ektachrome development is approximately 10 working days.
  • Color negative film processing is available by outside vendor. Processing and printing time is approximately 7 working days.
