VMRCVM HomeWork to replace Phase I roofing will begin mid-May and will be complete by Fall 2007. Phase I of the Duck Pond complex consists of the large animal hospital, VTH medical records, small animal ICU, VTH labs and research force plate lab.
CMMID research building 450 is in the process of being renovated with an addition to house pigs for research weighing up to 200 pounds. Construction is to be complete in September 2007.
CMMID research building 447A and room 4 in building 441 are being renovated to house and perform research on gnotobiotic piglets. Construction is to be completed in September 2007.
The three CVM classrooms (100, 102, 125A) are being retrofitted to have LCD control panels to control the lights, computer & projector, DVD players, etc. This will enable instructors to control classroom functions from the lecterns.
Virginia Tech Transportation will be installing seven more bike loops at the C.V.M. duck pond drive facility in front of the Phase 3 building near the steps entering the Richard B. Talbot Educational Resources Center. A concrete pad for the loops will be poured adjacent to the sidewalk. The bike loop installation is now complete.
