The Office of the Dean provides college leadership and oversight in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, resource development, political affairs, university relations, strategic planning, legal and government affairs, capital projects, accreditation, and promotion & tenure. The Dean's Office also provides leadership and support to the College Executive Board and College Council.

The college Budget Coordinator coordinates budgets for all college departments and programs. The college Purchasing Accounting Coordinator coordinates purchasing and accounts payable transactions and serves as the HokieMart liaison and trainer for the college.

The college Human Resources team provides expertise and support to college departments in hiring and pay practices, employee relations issues, and the employee evaluation process.

Veterinary Teaching Hospital Relations includes assisting with teaching hospital and college relations programming, and serving as liaison to regional veterinary medical associations.

Veterinary Teaching Hospital Relations
The college emergency planner coordinates and conducts risk assessments, performs response and preparedness planning, conducts training and exercise programs, and promotes emergency preparedness awareness and outreach. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia State Animal Response Team and leads the Virginia Tech Community Animal Response Team (VT CART).
