Brief Bio

Dr. Thomas E. Cecere is a PhD student in the Department of Biomedical Sciences & Pathobiology in the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Cecere received his DVM from the VMRCVM and completed a residency in anatomic pathology and Master of Specialized Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. His research and professional interests include infectious disease in food animal species, specifically porcine circovirus and Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome virus, diagnostic pathology and teaching. Cecere is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathology. He is also an avid and passionate musician and enjoys playing chamber music and bluegrass on his violin/fiddle with members of the college.
