Dr. Santiago Gutierrez Nibeyro graduated with honors from the Department of Veterinary Sciences, National University of La Plata in La Plata, Argentina in May of 2001. Before coming to the United States in April of 2002, he was resident veterinarian at a breeding farm and reproductive center in Buenos Aires. He completed equine externships in New Jersey, Indiana, and California before coming to the Equine Medical Center in July of 2004 as an intern in equine medicine and surgery. Dr. Gutierrez Nibeyro began his equine surgery residency program on July 1, 2005.
