Due to the generosity of our many donors, the Office of Academic Affairs is able to award scholarships to DVM students once a year at the Spring Awards Luncheon. Award criteria varies, but can be based on academic achievement, financial need, state of residency, species interest, character, and more. In Spring 2015, 300 scholarships totaling $750,000 were awarded.
- The application process opens at the beginning of the fall semester. The Office of Academic Affairs contacts students by email with detailed instructions on how to apply for scholarships and awards.
- Application instructions may vary by scholarship and award. Students are strongly encouraged to read all instructions carefully.
- Deadlines are final. Late applications are not accepted.
Allocating and awarding student scholarships and awards is accomplished by a committee of faculty members from the Departments of Large Animal Clinical Sciences, Small Animal Clinical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology, and the Office of Academic Affairs.
