The VMRCVM offers a
four-year full-time program leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. The first three years of the curriculum
are taught in a case-based and traditional lecture/laboratory format. The senior year of clinical rotations is 12 months in length.

The graduate program at VMRCVM leads to either the Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy
degree in Biomedical and Veterinary Sciences (BMVS). The program, an integral part of the VMRCVM and
the Graduate School of Virginia Tech, is designed to prepare graduate students to be scholars and researchers
who will benefit society by advancing veterinary and biomedical knowledge.

The post-DVM Residency training program provides 3-4 years of advanced, in-depth training in specific disciplines in
preparation for certification examination by appropriate specialty boards within the veterinary profession. Internships are
designed to provide one year of intense, post-DVM clinical training.
