Student Scholarships & Awards

The Office of Academic Affairs awards scholarships in the fall and spring of each academic year. Allocating and awarding student scholarships and awards is accomplished by a committee of faculty members who are faced with the daunting task of matching limited resources with a multitude of worthy students.

The awards listing and criteria will be posted during the award cycle. Students will be notified by Academic Affairs when the award cycle begins.

Please note, a few scholarships and awards are determined outside this process or with supplemental information. Note also that some scholarships are determined by class or faculty vote. Fall awards are distributed to students in first, second, third, and fourth years of the DVM curriculum. Spring awards are restricted to fourth year students.

DVM Student Bio Information Form

It is important that all students submit an information form because some worthy candidates can go unrecognized for failing to provide the insight to their interests, talents and financial needs. This is especially true for those awards that require nominations by faculty members.
